North West's legendary DJ, Matt Bell retires after 3 decades

Matt Bell has been practically a household name in the club scene for over 30 years having played for the North West's biggest brands such as Blackpool's "Zone", Feel (Preston) and at The Empire in Morecambe to cherry pick a few but it didn't stop there even after some of those nights came and went.
The rollercoaster of appearances never really slowed down with Matt appearing on the lineup of countless nights throughout the 2000's and 2010's.
In 2023 he announced he was retiring and as you can imagine, a flurry of bookings ensued from eager promoters which turned into an awesome farewell tour culminating in his last gig being at More Cake at Park Hall Nightclub in Chorley on Saturday 27th January 2024.
I was lucky enough to grab some of Matt's time just before that for a call to talk about life, the universe and the club scene throughout his career.
An edited-for-time version of the interview appeared scattered throughout Something For The Weekend - Episode 75 along with messages from some heavyweight DJ friends.
It wouldn't have done it justice to simply publish the show - so i've created this page as a hub where you can access all the content.
