Cafe Mambo x Absolut DJ Compeition 2023

The white aisle of Ibiza is a destination for many and a mecca for DJ's to aspire to play at - its clubs and bars notorious for being very picky about the acts they book.

Cafe Mambo, located in San Antonio is no exception to this but like many, are always eager to discover new talent.

They have announced a competition to which i've been tagged, DM'd or poked to enter, I made a video about why I can't which you can watch below.

The gist of it being I do a few other jobs to keep the wolf from the door which means I have to plan my calendar and currently end of September through to end of October is closed apart from about 9 days.

I'm already involved in Vestry Presents - Epiphany operating light and visuals, Play Expo Blackpool producing their interactive stage show, as well as EGX London and MCM Comic Con Winter delivering the retro arcade.

Busy busy busy!!

So i've decided i'll enter next year now I know when it is (if they run it again that is) but in the meantime i'd love it if you'd all help me support some of my friends that have entered this year.

Matt Bell

No introduction needed, been around since the beginning and is retiring next year, lets help Matt get there.

Mark Whites

Mark is known for his disco house and has a plethora of releases to his name spanning many labels. Mark also is one of the people behind Preston's 'MANA' night.

Matty Robinson

Matty is a fast growing legend in his own right, having played for Angels as well as running his own regular night called 'Rework' which is never short of a packed-house.

And additionally i'd like to highlight the following other people who'se mixes are equally as awesome and deserve to be considered and supported.

Ricky Lee

Ricky hails from the North East and is the partner of Becca Bell who I played along side at Fresh in March 2023.

Sammy Dean

Sammuy has gone from strength to strength recently after being around such a short time and this mix does not disappoint.

I honestly wish them all the best of luck achieving this and if the dates work i'll do everything I can to get out to Ibiza to support them.
